Olympic Day at the American School of Doha - Feb. 9th
Another fun activity planned by Gabrielle's school this year was "Olympic Day." This event consisted of students coming together for a day of excercise and fun by taking part in a series of games from different parts of the world. Nicholas was more than happy to join his big sister in pretty much every relay. Watch how they so easily scale those big humps. Way to go kids!!! One of the games that was very popular last year, but did not make it on this year's agenda was three-man jump roping. The main difference was that as the middle person jumped, they had to hold a full glass of cold water over their heads. Wonder why they didn't include it in this year's games!?!?
Thank you ASD for a super, fun-filled and exhausting day!
Rolando, Lucy, Gabrielle and Nicholas are now expats from Texas living in Doha, Qatar, a peninsula off the coast of Saudi Arabia. As we mark the 1 year anniversary of our new life in Doha, all we can say is "WOW! Time has gone by fast." It's been both a physical and emotional roller coaster of a ride. Our family has visited five different countries, been on approximately eight different flights, and has been blessed enough to go back to Texas to visit our family and friends twice! We invite you to view all our pictures to re-cap our first year's vast adventures; and ask that you re-visit this page often to see what is yet to come! To our families, we miss you lots and love you more!!!
