Last year we were still "newbies" to Doha and didn't know that the event to attend is the annual Boot Scoot hosted by the Texas A&M University. This is the one day in Doha that all the true Cowboys and Cowgirls come out in full Texas style! We somehow managed to do OK with the attire (even the kids got into it), regardless of the fact that Rolando forgot to bring his boots with him from back home. Either way, we had a great time, but became a bit home sick because of it!
Some of the evening's events included: Mexican food buffet served by Filipino waitresses, a cash bar attended by happy Filipinos serving some awesome Margaritas, a prof. photographer, a silent auction, wonderful DJ, great door prizes (the door was an actual door prize), and lots of fast and fun line dancing! This is definitely an event we hope to be able to attend next year!
Did I mention that the very best part of the evening was the great friends we had the pleasure of sharing the night with.
